Comedian Enrico Rennella is a star in the making with his international show.  He has performed in places such as Belgium, Italy, France and Switzerland and is now in Canada.  He has been dazzling audiences all over the world including Toronto, Montreal, Windsor and Vaughan.  Rennella is born in Paris but raised in Naples, Italy.  His comedic and improvisational routine is a mix of comedy, stories, and music from an Italian and Canadian perspective with a European twist.  Enrico is an absolute natural and fun to be around with his infectious sense of humour expect a hilarious show that will be very entertaining.

Actor/Comedian Keesha Brownie is one to watch!  She has lit the stages of Yuk Yuk’s, Second City and making an impact starring and producing the “Jokers Corner Comedy Show”.  Her peers having been raving as her smart-witted comedy can be compared to the likes of Wanda Sykes.  Her routine mixes comedy, stories, culture with a French Canadian/Caribbean background.  Brownie is a native of the culturally diverse Montreal that is making her mark in Toronto and Canada.  Keesha’s comedy, sketches and improv will be ignited and unleashed as she takes the stage and puts on another hilarious and astounding performance.

Bios of team and Ritallin below:

The 2013 Toronto Poetry Slam Team consist of five riveting wordsmiths articulating those feelings we have no words for, those emotions better left unsaid, and those moments which make life enjoyable.

The team is captained by Optimus Rhyme, the man with a voice as epic as his life. Rhyme, a recovering addict and cancer survivor, has been making audiences laugh for 10 years as a stand-up comic.

Kiggy – This high school teacher by day, poet by night brings a special kind of warm quirk to this poetic powerhouse.

IF – A spoken word force storming onto stages across Ontario, he can often be seen wandering the streets of Toronto, gesticulating wildly and muttering to himself, (poetry that is).

Philosofly – Puts the "swag" into "soliloquies". The aspiring rapper likes to vandalize the air with his verbal graffiti

Capping it all off is a veteran to the Toronto Poetry Slam team: David Delisca. This four-time team member also boasts the best dance moves on the team, a claim which has not been confirmed, or tested.

Ritallin:
Greg Frankson, a.k.a. Ritallin, is a spoken word artist, arts educator and media personality. In 2012, he won a national slam championship with the Toronto Up From The Roots team and finished second at the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam. He is a former national director of Spoken Word Canada and has co-founded several poetry events in Ottawa and Toronto. He is also the Poet Laureate for the International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership. Greg is the resident poet on the CBC Radio One afternoon program, Here and Now, the spoken word writer for blogTO and editor-in-chief of cytopoeticsevents.com.

In recent years, when not touring the globe as the featured soloist with legendary jazz-hip-hop outfit Guru's Jazzmatazz or subbing into Paul Simon's band, Toronto-based multi-award-winning Trinidadian-born trumpet player Brownman spends much of his artistic time in the exploration of "chordless" jazz - music produced without a chordal instrument (guitar or keyboard). He has explored this tonal quality for a decade with his now internationally acclaimed latin-jazz group CRUZAO, and most recently with his Miles Davis influenced BROWNMAN ELECTRYC TRIO (2007 National Jazz Award winners for "Electric Jazz Group of the Year"), who released their debut recording on Brownman's own label Browntasauras Records in 2010 to critical acclaim. Brownman himself has been heralded by the New York Village Voice as "Canada's preeminent jazz trumpet player", and the ensemble itself has been described by CODA magazine as follows: "Brownman's powerful electrified trio captures the essence of the later years in Miles Davis' life, his electric period, without imitation. Brownman's ELECTRYC TRIO is uniquely his own, yet echoes with the sounds of 'Bitches Brew' and 'In a Silent Way' right down to Miles' use of electronics while still managing to stay grounded in the sounds of today. Clearly paying apt tribute to Brownman's NYC mentor Randy Brecker, they are a truly impressive and energized modern jazz outfit."

Powerhouses vocalist and thoughtful lyricist -
Ladies and Gentlemen: meet Gyles. One cannot deny thishardworking dynamo as her talents have amassed an impressive array of industryaccomplishments. Gyles' vocals are behind the hook of Juno and Much Music Award winner Carlos Morgan's "Baby c'mon", featured on Groove Essentials Volume 1. Soon after, she provided background vocals for Juno award winner Jully Black and Juno nominee Camille Douglas. Having been noticed quickly for a singing style bathed with sparkly tenacity, Gyles was brought on board as lead vocalist for Toronto neo-soul band Jamesking. Two of her songs have been awarded second place at the 2008 and 2010 Radio Star National Songwriter's Competition. One of which, has been featured in the major motion picture: Shark City - starring Vivica A. Fox. Her live performances have garnered her headlining honors for the 2008 Montreal Funk Festival and opening in 2009 for Ivana Santilli during Canadian Music Week.
