On March 8th 2013 at Zemra we will celebrate
International
Women's Day with the Music of women Artists with DJ Carl Allen paying
tributes on the Wheels (with a special tribute honoring memory of
Whitney Houston). Expect to hear and dance to it all! Let's have fun!!

I give it up to all the women in my life who have taught me so much and given so much, and to my daughters, who are already making their lights shine (I wish them strength, beauty and humility). Canadian composer and saxophonist Scott Marshall brings his critically
acclaimed and high octane quartet to Zemra on Saturday March 9th. The
Scott Marshall Quartet, a must see of the
Toronto
jazz scene, have toured coast to coast across Canada and have been
thrilling audiences for ten Years. With three recordings released under
his name, Scott Marshall has become a household name on the jazz
programming of both 91.1 JAZZ FM and the CBC! A who's who of the
Canadian scene have played with Marshall's quartet, and Jazz Legend
Wynton Marsalis has even stopped by to play with the group!
A definite must see!
