The Souljazz Orchestra, one of Canada's heaviest bands, hit The Garrison Sat, June 1.
Souljazz's masterful compositions fuse Afro, Latin and Caribbean rhythms with Soul and Jazz. Written in the politically conscious Afrobeat tradition, their music has long navigated uncharted territory in genre and form.
Next Saturday is the band's only Toronto performance of the summer, featuring very special guest Jason Sanders aka DJ General Eclectic (Footprints / Uma Nota).
Locatrion: The Garrison, 1197 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON.
Doors: 10p
Tickets:
$15 advance tickets are available at Play De Record, Rotate This, Soundscapes and online at www.worldfamousmusic.net
From the band:
"We've been busy woodshedding for the last while, so we've got a lot of fresh new heavy live tunes: both original stuff and some barnburners from the Loi-Toki-Tok Band, Orlando Julius, Sun Ra, just to mention a few... Don't sleep on this one! " ~ Souljazz Orchestra
