Last month The I Aint No Joke Monthly Comedy Showcase took a lil Halloween break. Now we're back this month with a very special and important theme that's very close to home.
I am a proud Filipino-Canadian. It hurt my heart when I heard the the Philippines was hit with yet another devastating natural disaster.
I said in a previous FB post that Filipinos are the most widespread Diaspora as a result of there uncanny ability to care for those in need. Now the greatest caregivers in the world are in need of our care. They need as much help as they can get. I'm gonna give whatever I can, and I encourage you to do the same.
So this month we are going to dedicate the show to the Victims of Typhoon Yolanda-Haiyan. All proceeds of the event will be donated to aid in the recovery of those affected by this unfortunate event.
We have also partnered with the good people of @kapisanan Philippine Centre of Arts & Culture. They have allowed us to use their venue at 167 Augusta Avenue in Kensington Market.
Doors open at 7:00
Show starts promptly at 8pm sharp.
