This year's Toronto Jazz Fest opens with multi-award winning Trinidadian-born, NYC-schooled jazz trumpet player Brownman Ali -- heralded by the New York Village Voice as "Canada's preeminent jazz trumpet player" -- paying tribute to legendary trumpet player Freddie Hubbard. Features a set of Hubbard's acoustic material, followed by his electric output.
