The 15th Anniversary of When Sisters Speak @ St. Lawrence Centre for the Performing Arts, Toronto, ON - Sat Mar 7th!

On March 7th, 6 powerful voices will hit the stage at the St. Lawrence Centre to celebrate When Sisters Speak.

When Sisters Speak is North America’s largest and longest running annual showcase of Black, female spoken word poets.

2015 will mark the 15th anniversary of the show, and will feature performances by Toronto’s Jemeni, Halifax’s Poet Laureate, El Jones, Guelph’s Truth Is, Toronto’s Britta B, Halifax’s Shauntay Grant and Atlanta’s Queen Sheba.

This isn’t the poetry you hear in school! Prepare to laugh, cry, and share in the experiences of these women as we celebrate International Women’s Day!
