The NBA all star game will be happening in Toronto on February 14th. To kick off the festivities, join me at the Lula Lounge on February 10th, for an All Star Spoken Word Showcase, featuring Toronto's Rookies and Veterans!!
I have always believed in connecting the generations, and lending a hand to young people who are trying to navigate their way with their art.
The veterans on the bill include Canada's only two World Poetry Slam Champions, Ian Keteku, and Ikenna, the subject of the CBC documentary, IF The Poet, and a Scarborough Walk of Fame Inductee, Dwayne Morgan!
The Rookies will be represented by some amazingly powerful young people; Cassandra Myers, Twoey Gray, Londzo, and Thunderclaw Robinson.
