R Flavour brings you a powerful and poignant look at modern-day black fatherhood, for a Black History Month series screening of the film MODERN DAY DAD!
Helmed by Jason Quammie, R Flavour's founder and CEO, Modern Day Dad is an authentic reflection of Black fatherhood today, featuring testimonials, debates, and discussion from a range of perspectives, particularly that of Black fathers. This film provides a safe space for children to discuss the complicated relationships with their fathers, gives room for new fathers to explore this budding identity, allows professionals in social work and education to provide theoretical perspective, and so much more - as captured in the film's trailer. Since the birth of his daughter in 2014, Quammie has been passionate about the perception of fathers in today's society, and Modern Day Dad effectively brings together a variety of voices to provide an honest look at the meaning of fatherhood.
