Old School Request Party  20th Anniversary  Old School Essentials

Back in 1999 five friends came together and created an event that played a major role in redefining the club scene in Toronto. We saw a void in the scene for an event that stayed ‘true’ to old school music and created The OLD SCHOOL REQUEST PARTY. What made this event unique was the interactive way that we enabled our clients to request their old school songs of choice in advance of the party via email to our DJs. Whether it was r&b, hip hop, reggae, soca, top 40, sitcom themes or slow jams, our DJs did their best to accommodate the requests of our guests. The OLD SCHOOL REQUEST PARTY brand was a staple in Toronto’s nightlife scene for a number of years hosting long-weekend Friday parties at a number of venues throughout the city as well as many memorable sold-out Caribana Friday events.

This year we’re celebrating the 20-year anniversary of the OLD SCHOOL REQUEST PARTY with a series of events kicking off with our ‘Old School ‘ESSENTIALS’ party on Saturday, April 6th inside of Rum Diaries. The Old School Request party has always been about the dancing, the friendships and of course that classic old school musical vibe.
