Breakaway Relief Care (BRC) is a non-profit out Reach and Resource Organization in the Jane and Finch community. We are on the frontlines helping disadvantaged youths find meaning and purpose in their lives. BRC’s primary goals are to save our children, keep families together and equip our youths to reach goals they set for themselves.
We encourage our youths to engage in activities that promote assets, competencies and resiliency. BRC collaborates with community agencies together with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and (TCDSB) to develop individual plans to address the needs of minority groups.
We will be hosting our third annual Families In Action Saving Our Children event and walk in the Jane and Finch community May10th and June 8th 2008.
On May 10, 2008 we will be participating and conducting our third annual Families In Action Saving Our Children event at James Cardinal McGuigan CHS. This event will highlight our talented youth through music, dance, spoken word and positive testimonies from various youth.
Our Youth will show they can change conflict through Peace, Love, leadership, diversity, community empowerment, and accountability.
Our annual Peace walk will be on June 8th commencing from Jane and Sheppard mall to Jane and Finch Mall. Event time will be from 1pm to 6.30pm.
We would like to invite you to attend and participate in our up coming Families In Action Saving Our Children events. Our theme is peace, love and unity for all people a violent free community and city Please support us with these initiatives.
