It’s that time of year again! The snow has arrived, festive cheer is floating
through the air, and The Nathaniel Dett Chorale is preparing for their 12th
presentation of An Indigo Christmas, this year subtitled …Kwanzaa Litanies.
The Nathaniel Dett Chorale invites you to a celebration of unity, community
and self-determination. Founder/Artistic Director Dr. Brainerd Blyden-Taylor
has arranged a beautiful assortment of musical selections from artists Margaret
Bonds, Glenn Burleigh and Adolphus Hailsotrk.
The Christmas concert will also mark the release of The Nathaniel Dett
Chorale’s highly anticipated new CD, entitled Nguzo Saba, featuring works by
Glenn Burleigh, Joe Sealy, and Mary Lou Williams. You’re sure to enjoy this
latest recording which showcases a fresh take on the ensemble you know and
love!
