An Evening with Lawrence Hill @ The Law Society of Upper Canada, Toronto, ON - Tues Feb 7th!
In celebration of Black History Month, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers are pleased to host a reception on February 7, featuring acclaimed Canadian author Lawrence Hill.
Hill’s work is known for touching on issues of identity and belonging. In 2008, he won the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best Book for The Book of Negroes which was a
number one bestseller in Canada. Some of his other works include Any Known Blood, Black Berry, Sweet Juice: On Being Black and White in Canada and Some Great Thing.
