The TORONTO URBAN BOOK EXPO (TUBE) is the only Canadian event dedicated to celebrating urban fiction—an annual exposition of contemporary urban Canadian writers where authors will have the opportunity to display, sell, and communicate their projects while promoting support and recognition for urban literature and literacy.
TUBE will highlight published, self-published, and aspiring writers and their books—it will also feature other urban cultural artists as well as guests from the Canadian literary/cultural community..
TUBE will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Toronto Public Library, Malvern Branch, and The S.P.O.T. (30 Sewells Road, Toronto, Ontario M1B 3G5), featuring:
*TEEN WRITING WORKSHOP ($25 registration)
*BOOK FAIR (free admission)
*URBAN EXPERT ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS (registration required)
Along with our featured writers, TUBE participants will also include individuals who can inform and guide attending urban authors and book lovers in their interaction with the Canadian readership and urban community (i.e. readers, urban media professionals, urban cultural advocates, literary specialists, representatives from Canadian bookstores and libraries, published Canadian authors, and academic experts).
Time` 1p - 4:30p
