BRING BACK OUR GIRLS TORONTO - Candlelight Vigil @ Light It Up Candles, Body and Spa/Tribal Eye, Kensington Market, Toronto, ON - Sat May 10th!

276 precious girls are missing for over three weeks and governments are just starting to react! 276 lights in our world were dimmed, but still flickering!

They need our help.

On Saturday, May 10th at dusk (9pm), outside Lite It Up/Tribal Eye in Toronto’s Kensington Market, we will host a candle light vigil 276 candles for 276 girls and observe a moment of silence for 2.76 minutes.
(3 minutes and 16 seconds)

We can all bring in Mother’s Day with a flicker of hope and light in solidarity for all the mothers suffering for their daughters. #276Candles

Come and light a candle of hope! The #276for276Toronto is the heartfelt initiative of Michelle Hughes who is concerned mom, a motivational speaker and community activist who could no longer stay silent!

Our goal is to spark global interest with our event and have #276Candles events worldwide to bring light and hope to our girls and their families until each one is returned safe to their families!

Toronto Cares!

276 beautiful little girls who need our prayers, who need our VOICES, who need us to send them love and LIGHT so that they can grow up to be the ‘light of the world’ in their worlds … so they can be mothers, presidents, artists, engineers, they must be given the chance to have their talents ILLUMINATE this world!
Information on the fate of the girls is sketchy, according to a video released by the leader of the Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram, they are still being held captive with their group.

However, Abubakar Shekau says he intends to “sell them in the marketplace”.

Horrifying. Worse, if such behavior is condoned, these despicable terrorists will think they can do anything, to anyone … and not just in Nigeria. We need to band across the world in support of these 276 bright eyed girls, all gifts of light for their parents.

Performers and guests including African drummers and spoken word artists are being finalized and updated press releases will follow. Candles will be made available at Lite It Up/Tribal Eye for a nominal fee of $2 to help cover the cost.

Imagine your daughter, niece, granddaughter, your friends and neighbour’s daughter abducted by militants disguised as soldiers while she was writing her exams? What if this happened at a private girl’s school in an affluent cosmopolitan city?

Stand with us and light a candle. Observe the silence. Show the world #Toronto cares about our girls!
