For its 25th anniversary season, Ballet Creole presents intriguing new works combining the sensibilities of artistic director Patrick Parson, associate choreographer Gabby Kamino and guest collaborators, exploring the universal connectivity of Earth’s most valuable resource, water. With live musicians, spoken word and Ballet Creole’s signature style of Creolized dance, Agua Como Vida brings water to the stage through movement and music – a spectacle for all the senses! Kamino’s new work is a group piece set to several arias using the stimulus of water as inspiration, how it flows to connect us emotionally, how it becomes our life force and how it creates beauty around us.
