Toronto’s Afro-Caribbean Farmers Market Opened July 9, 2017
North York, Ontario - The Afro-Caribbean Farmers Market presented by the G.A.C.N. (Global Afrikan Community Network) - debuts Sunday July 9, 2017 on the south east parking lot of the Toronto Plaza Hotel; located at 1677 Wilson Ave.
This new exciting Farmers Market, in partnership with the Black Farmers Collective helps to fill the gap on affordable Caribbean and African produce, right along side fresh local produce grown by farmers of the diaspora.
This community based initiative is focused on 2 main objectives:
1. Provide cost effective food to our community
2. Provide a selling platform for local black farmers and food/craft artisans.
Each Sunday will be themed, we will celebrate the diaspora by featuring the different distinct caribbean islands and African countries that create our wonderful cultural heritage.
A sit down eating area, with food prepared on site, a children’s corner and live food demonstrations makes the the Afro-Caribbean Farmers Market a weekly event hot spot and place to catch up with old friends, and make new ones.
Help us celebrate OUR MARKET.....
Location: Toronto Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre Toronto Airport, 1677 Wilson Avenue, Toronto, ON
Time: 11a - 6p
