When Brothers Speak @ St Lawrence Centre for the Arts, Toronto, ON - Sat Nov 18th!
Curated annually by Scarborough Walk of Fame inductee Dwayne Morgan, When Brothers Speak brings together six poets from different walks of life and different cities across North America to discuss their perspectives on the world that they share, through the lens of being Black men.
Now in its 19th year, the show is even more relevant with the racial upheavels we’ve been seeing in the United States, and the 2017 cast is poised to shed light on all of the beauty and the ugly in our world!
The 2017 edition of When Brothers Speak will feature performances by Randell Adjei (RISE), Dasan Ahanu (North Carolina), Ian Keteku (2010 World Poetry Slam Champion), Bluz (North Carolina), Rage Almighty (2016 Individual World Poetry Slam Runner Up), and hosted by Dwayne Morgan.
Location: St Lawrence Centre for the Arts, Toronto, 27 Front Street East, Toronto, ON
Time: 8p
