View Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami during the Conversations about Grace Jones event.
Grace Jones, the Jamaican-born singer, actress, and New Wave icon, has made a career performing versions of herself — but who is the person behind the persona? Filmed over the course of a decade, this stylish, unconventional documentary portrait from director Sophie Fiennes (The Pervert's Guide to Ideology) takes us inside Jones' private spaces, from her family's home in Jamaica, to the studio where she works with her longtime collaborators Sly & Robbie, and to Paris where she reunites with her image-maker and former lover, photographer and graphic designer Jean-Paul Goude.
