I am very saddened to hear about the death of Reggae Legend, Tabby Diamond, lead singer of the Mighty Diamonds.
According to the Jamaican Gleaner, Tabby whose real name is Donald Orlando Shaw, was a victim of a drive-by shooting while sitting with a group of people last night. He and another man died after being rushed to hospital. He was 67 years old.
Three others were also admitted to hospital with gunshot wounds.
I was fortunate to be able to see the Mighty Diamonds perform when I attended the Jamrock Reggae Cruise in December 2019.
Here's a clip of them performing one their popular songs, "I Need A Roof."
RIP and condolences to family and friends and prayers to the injured.
