Chris Bosh Takes Time Out for the Youth

After Wednesday night's impressive 89-82 Toronto Raptor defeat over the Detroit Pistons at the Air Canada Centre, Chris Bosh spent time speaking to some young fans from Tropicana Community Organization's Scarborough Youth Resource Centre (SYRC).

The SYRC is a drop-in centre located in the Scarborough Town Centre mall and provides resources, activities and programs geared to youth between the ages of 12 & 24.

The very excited group were participants in a month-long contest where they were encouraged to write a short essay, poem or rap about what Black History Month meant to them.

For some of them, this was their first time going to a game, so the experience was such a thrill. With great seats behind the net, they managed to be featured three times on the giant Jumbo Tron. Plus, before the game, they received a generous gift bag of goodies including Adidas t-shirts and key chains. To top it off, they were invited to a meet and greet with Bosh after the game where they received more prizes for knowing Raptors trivia and the opportunity to ask Bosh questions about his life and career. Bosh mentioned that if he hadn't chosen a career in basketball, he would have probably ended up in the computer field, possibly as a Web Designer.

This incredible night out was made possible by the very kind-hearted Events Specialist, Eddie "Go To Man" Williams of Party People Productions. Williams has been very active in planning events and developing Toronto's Urban Entertainment scene for decades and supports many charitable organizations.

Ludacris Moments in the T.dot!

Atlanta-based Hip-Hop Artist, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges was recently spotted at the Muse restaurant on King Street West in Toronto.

The Grammy-Award Winning Hip Hop Artist and Actor was looking very chic as he always does, even more so now that he's transformed from wearing braids to a nice clean cut. The 30-year old part Native American, part African American, Illinois-born Georgia State University Graduate, who went from selling cd's from the back of his car to selling over 13 million albums in the US alone, is definitely a success story! In just ten years, Ludacris is recognized as having the most Top 10, Top 25 and Top 40 Billboard Top 100 Hits of all time and has grown a multi-million dollar empire in the process!

Ludacris' television and movie career is thriving. He has already appeared on the big screen in blockbuster films, "2 Fast 2 Furious", "Crash" and "Hustle and Flow" and still has more movie projects in the works. Ludacris will be seen in the action film "Rocknrolla" filmed in the UK and written and directed by Madonna's hubby, Guy Ritchie. It's scheduled to be released this October along with "Ball Don't Lie", a drama, also due out this year. An online-gaming thriller, "Game", will be released next year.

And, if acting, producing and rapping isn't enough, he'll be adding the title of Restaurateur to his resume when he opens a Midtown Singaporean cuisine restaurant with southern flair called Straits Atlanta in April in his Georgia hometown.
Luda has also recently launched a new online site for aspiring musicians called WeMix.com in conjunction with his record label, Disturbin' Tha Peace and MegaMobile. The online community will serve as a space for music enthusiasts, songwriters, producers, and undiscovered talent to unite, get exposure and vote for the best musical creations with top performers getting a chance to work with Ludacris. Now that's one super-busy and outstanding young man who doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
