It may be bitter cold outside in Toronto, Canada, but Winterlicious, the city's widely popular prix-fixe menu promotion, will get you revved up enough to make you forget about those bone chilling temperatures! This highly anticipated event is a way to get you to get out to try some of the city's finest restaurant meals at a fraction of what they would normally charge.
The event starts today and runs until February 7th and features prix-fixe menus from 191 restaurants with lunch ranging from $15 - $25, dinners ranging from $25 - $45 and specialized culinary events ranging from $38 - $125.
Some of the culinary events include winter grilling with Author, former host of TV's License to Grill, and Executive Chef, Rob Rainford, a Japanese Tea Ceremony and a history-inspired theatre and dining event. Several events, such as the pizza making class, a pasta knowledge session and a mixology class, are already sold out.
Reservations began earlier this month, but you may be able to get in to some restaurants and it's highly recommended that you do. Otherwise, you may be left in the cold.
