Don't miss Danny Fernandes, Massari and Mia Martina on one stage for one night at the Bandshell!
Born into a musical family (older brother is Shawn Desman), Toronto native Danny Fernandes began his entertainment career as a dancer at age six and progressed into singing. A two time winner of the CNE’s Rising Star talent competition for his dance skills, Fernandes toured worldwide as a dancer with the likes of Aaron Carter, Blackstreet and Deborah Cox. In 2003, his first single, Curious was recorded and mysteriously leaked online only to be discovered by a German DJ who helped it go viral. In 2008 Fernandes signed to CP Records and released his first album to rave reviews, earning him a JUNO nomination and Best Male Artist of the Year at the 2009 Top Choice Awards.
After releasing a hit self-titled debut album, Massari became an international singing sensation. Infused with his signature sound, a distinct blend of Middle Eastern melodies with contemporary pop music, his latest track, Shisha, draws on experiences and musical influences from the past few years. This talented Lebanese Canadian has earned himself a JUNO nomination, as well as nods from the Canadian Urban Music Awards and SOCAN.
Trilingual clubland crooner and New Brunswick native Mia Martina has earned her place on the Canadian music scene. Her single Stereo Love earmed her a nomination for Single of the Year at the 2011 Juno Awards while her debut album Devotion earned a nomination for Dance Recording of the Year at the 2012 Juno Awards and World Recording of the Year at the 2012 East Coast Music Awards.
