Comedian/DJ Russell Peters
The 2014 Edition of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is in full swing. And, the celebrities are making their rounds promoting films and schmoozing with their fans. The Uniun Nightclub in Downtown Toronto turned into a major schmoozefest as it was the scene of a few hot events this past weekend.
Comedian and Toronto native Russell Peters delighted the guests to a two hour dj set of house and hip hop tracks on Saturday night. And, he did an amazing job keeping people grooving on the dancefloor until the wee hours of the morning. Celebrities who passed through the event included Bubbles (Mike Smith) from the Canadian television series, The Trailer Park Boys and Comedian JB Smoove who can be seen regularly on the popular series Real Husbands of Hollywood.
On Sunday evening, cast members from the upcoming film, The Bounce Back, due out sometime in 2015, celebrated the end of filming for the movie. It stars Criminal Minds Actor, Shemar Moore. Moore also serves as the Executive Producer of the romantic comedy. Other stars from the film who made it out to the party included Comedian Bill Bellamy, Actress Nadine Velazquez who starred with Denzel Washington in the 2012 movie, Flight, and Actress Denise Boutte who is best known for her role in the television show, Meet The Browns.
The group had some fun starting a Soul Train line where Moore literally hit the floor with some hard core break dancing moves in between posing for pictures for his adoring fans.
You can catch Shemar Moore in his 10th Season of Criminal Minds and after a nine-year hiatus, he returns to his role of Malcolm Winters this week on The Young and The Restless on CBS.
TIFF runs until September 14th. For more information on TIFF '14, click here.
