A message from Carol Allen
This Saturday, February 17, 2018, Toronto Promoter Eddie Williams will be hosting his annual Party For A Purpose Fundraising event at the Dream Resto Lounge in Markham, ON to celebrate his birthday.
Since its conception over a decade ago, Party for a Purpose has helped families, and kids experience the thrill of watching an NBA basketball game live.
Party for a Purpose started when my son Keegan Allen, lost his life due to senseless gun violence at the age of 18 years old. In an effort to keep his legacy and spirit alive, a black history month essay-writing contest was created for youth in the community. The program has been a great success with over 500 kids throughout the years getting to experience a live basketball game from lower bowl seats, getting a meal and souvenirs package. Plus, the opportunity to do a Q & A and take pictures with current and past NBA players.
In addition to the program and with your help, we were able to treat more than 50 families to attend a basketball game together as a family unit.
This year with your help, Party For A Purpose will be supporting a local youth all-star soccer team with members representing the GTA.
These incredible kids need some funds to assist with their trip to a special soccer camp, which features lessons in mentoring along with an educational program.
With so much negativity in the world today here's an opportunity for us to make a difference in these kids’ lives.
