Progress - Bio
Molten Lava, raging storm, earthquake these words are synonymous with the high-energy reggae style of Progress. Progress’s music is a reflection of his life experiences and his faith. Born in Barbados Progress forged his Unique style doing local shows throughout the island. Progress’s music began getting attention due to his socially conscious message and aggressive style, this in turn lead to him being featured on several local compilations and gaining radio play. After this he went on to open up for international reggae artists such Norris man, Yami Bolo and Anthony B.

Leaving Barbados in the 90′s Progress moved to Canada was his music evolved incorporating the many different influences he was around. In 2001 progress was featured and his music used on the CBC documentary “Soldiers for The Street”. In 2003 he was invited to Chicago to open up for Common Sense and Erica Badu at Black August, a show to protest political prisoners in the U.S.A. In 2005 Progress toured extensively throughout Canada and the U.S.A on The Promote intelligence tour with Dope Poet Society.

The Following Year Progress entered the Canadian Reggae Star competition, which took Contestants from all over the country. The completion was syndicated and aired nationally, Progress made it to the finals. In 2007 Progress was featured on the internationally released documentary “Rastamentary”. In 2009 his music was featured on the season premier of the TV series a “Kink in My Hair”. Progress Single “Sunshine”, is currently burning up collage radio in U.S. and Canada as well as Throughout the Caribbean. After years of honing his skill to laser beam like sharpness Progress is ready for the world to hear his message of love and struggle..

A Live Reggae Music Series featuring Juno Award Winners in Midtown Toronto

Caribbean Fusion is set to hit Uptown Toronto with the New Live Reggae Music Tuesdays Concert Series featuring Juno Award Winners at Seven44 Restaurant & Lounge

— Freedom Time Magazine’s Leroy King and Event Promoter Andre Blenman have joined forces to commence “foundation 2.0" Live Reggae Music Series”; is slated to launch on Tuesday June 11th inside Seven 44. The Concert Series will feature Reggae Acts like Juno Award Winners Exco Levi (2013, 2012), Humble (2009) and Korexion (2007) in the month of June with the Higher Ground Band & Special Guests.

July 2nd ft. Progress

This event will feature live reggae, dub and the sounds of the Caribbean inside Uptown Toronto’s Seven 44 Restaurant/Lounge and Patio, where the bar is stacked with a wide variety of drinks ranging from cocktails, bar rails, domestic/imported beers and refreshing beverages. Half Price Wings, Appetizers and Dinner Menu will be available to all attendee’s at the venue as well. This event will also include door prizes and giveaways throughout the night.
