GTA's Got Talent Showcase @ Jamaican Canadian Assocation, Toronto, ON - Sun Jul 6th!

SUNDAY | JULY 6, 2014

Drive to educate and build awareness around tne dire need to donate now.
On May 12, 2014, DonorDrive4Dorothy stem cell donation campaign, announced its inaugural GTA's Got Talent Showcase and Evening of Entertainment, to take place on Sunday, July 6, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m, at the Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA), 995 Arrow Road, Toronto, under the distinguished patronage of Jamaica's Consul General to Toronto, Mr. Seth George Ramocan.

Described as an evening of outstanding local talent and entertainment, good food, meaningful networking with a private cocktail reception, GTA's Got Talent is estimated to attract between two hundred and fifty (250) and three hundred (300) young and aspiring talent, professionals, political figures, sports, entertainment, television personalities and the wider community.

"We created this event to bring together ethnically diverse young adults between 17 and 35 to encourage them to join a cause that can help save a life. We are integrating their passion and interest with a worthwhile cause much bigger than themselves", said Shane Perue, Youth Ambassador and Social Media Director with DonorDrive4Dorothy campaign. "We want to use this platform to educate and build awareness around the severe underrepresentation of ethnically diverse stem cell donors in the OneMatch Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Network, Canada's donor registry".

In addition to the entertainment factor, the event will also host a swab-a-thon and blood typing session to recruit new potential stem cell donors for the OneMatch donor registry. There will be a private reception and meet and greet with celebrity judges and special guest between 4-5 pm.

DonorDrive4dorothy is committed to educating, building awareness and increasing ethnically diverse donors for the OneMatch Stem Cell and Donor Registry (OneMatch.ca).
