KOD Canada is starting off the New Year with one of the largest dance events to hit the nation! KOD is looking for Canada’s best Dancers in Hip Hop, Popping, Locking & Bboying/Bgirling and throwing a big party to celebrate dance culture January 16th, 2016 at Daniels Spectrum. International & Canadian judges will select the top 15 dancers in 4 styles to be flown to represent Canada at the KOD World Cup in LA.
With our internationally recognized judges featuring MR. WIGGLES of Rocksteady Crew / Electric Boogaloos, SUGA POP of Electric Booglaoos, BOOGALOO KIN from Korea, CRUMBS from LA representing Style Elements Crew, YNOT of Rocksteady Crew from Philadelphia, LINK from New York of Elite Force, TASH the international locker from Montreal, the legendary world famous Canadian bboy GIZMO, SPARK from China, and many more.. KOD is bringing the biggest line up Toronto Street Dance has ever seen.
With 15 trips and a massive international grand prize on the line, Canadian dancers will duel it out to see who will represent Canada on the world stage for national pride, international fame and solid gold medals for the World Cup Champions.
Come cheer on your favorite dancers to the sounds of DJ DOPEY & DJ SERIOUS rocking the battles all day and get on the dance floor yourself at our after party with the one and only DJ STARTING FROM SCRATCH. Hosted by the world famous Choreographer/Director LENNY LEN & Artistic Director/Choreographer of Nickelodeon’s hit dance show Make it Pop ADDY CHAN, this all ages event is family friendly and 19+ can have drinks after 6pm live at the venue. This battle format is crew battles. The sizes per crew is listed below per style. Please register individually but identify which crew your competiting with. Please make sure you register under the same crew name as your other crew members.

SHOWCASE & BATTLE FORMAT:
Showcase: Each crew must prepare one crew routine approximately 1 minute, and each member 1 solo.
Battle: TOP 4 crews selected by judges from the showcases in each category will move on to the Semi Finals and battle elimination style.
