Gumboots Dance Workshop @ Tropicana Community Services, Scarborough, ON - Wed Feb 3rd!
Gumboots Dance….
Developed as a means of communication by African miners, Gumboots dance is now a popular art form performed worldwide to entertain and pass on elements of South African history to the new generations.
Gumboot is a high energy, percussive, fun dance because of its unconventional moves! Basic steps are easy to pick up and moves are easily adapted to suit differing abilities.
In celebration of Black History Month, please join us for this FREE workshop, which will be lot of fun and movement for the entire family.
Please also visit the following link here to see videos on what the Gumboots Dance is all about.
