SUMMARY: The Caribbean diaspora viewpoint of second generation immigrants caught in a ‘Culture Clash’. In recent years, immigrant communities have stayed in closer communication with their homelands through cable and satellite television and the internet. While this makes it possible for the second generation to retain a stronger ethnic identity, at the same time, television, movies, and the Internet create a powerful homogenizing force, pulling the children of immigrants in two different directions.

SUMMARY: Experimental Dance piece, seen through the eye of the lens, raises questions of ethnicity, origins and morphology through non-verbal expression.
Dreams In Transit
(Karen Martinez, 2015, Trinidad & Tobago/UK; 30) SUMMARY: Dreams in Transit is a poetic, cine-essay style documentary reflecting on the theme of identity and belonging for contemporary migrants. Using a kaleidoscopic collage approach the film mixes actuality, poetry, narration, fiction, and interviews with a range of people: from fishermen to artists and cultural commentators, interspersed with the journeying of the Dream Woman.
