Red Bull Sound Select Presents: Braids w/ Most People, Nyssa and DJ Digits @ The Garrison, Toronto, ON - Wed Nov 30th!

Red Bull Sound Select presents Braids, curated by Wavelength Music Series, on Wednesday, November 30 at The Garrison. Braids will be joined by Red Bull Sound Select Toronto artists Most People and Nyssa.

Braids are a three-piece experimental pop band from Montreal. Consisting of Raphaelle Standell, Austin Tufts, and Taylor Smith, Braids are a collaborative whole, emphasizing a collective creative experience.

Most People was started by multi-instrumentalists Brandon Gibson DeGroote and Paul McEachern in 2010. The twosome began performing live as a group in 2011 and recorded their self-titled debut the same year. Their latest EP, Violet Spaces, was produced by Toronto electronic musician DIGITS.

Nyssa is the producer and performer of her own sequin-encrusted beats, powerhouse vocals, and picaresque persona. Raised on the glitz and glam of yesteryear, Nyssa flips the script on masculinity in rock and roll, blitzing the boys’ club to pave the way for all of the bad girls. She uses her lyrical prowess to explore themes of modern-day feminine malaise, sexuality, and androgyny.
