The Funk Frequency leaves no doubt as to what they are there to do. They come to Funk, and nothing but the whole Funk!

There are tribute bands and then there are those that bleed the very soul of the artists they celebrate. The Funk Frequency is one of those bands.

From the moment they take the stage, The Funk Frequency makes it clear that they’ve come to play – hard. Exuding purple power; synth-pop, driving rhythms and funky guitar, the band brings the music of Prince and The Minneapolis Sound to hyper vibrant life - and audiences to their feet.

With lead vocalist Chris Rouse embodying Prince’s true essence, sound, and vocal styling, The Funk Frequency delivers what is truly the next best thing to being a part of the Purple Revolution itself. And they have a growing reputation for blowing the minds of both Prince devotees and new fans alike.

Conceived in 2015 by New York based bandleader and co-founder, Sean Alexander and Toronto-based manager Maria Cristina Roscetti (owner of Radioactive Entertainment), the pair were determined to go beyond the realm of tribute band into a thrilling, original and unforgettable live experience. And they’ve exceeded even their own expectations with The Funk Frequency.

Throwing down hit after hit (Little Red Corvette, I Would Die 4 U, Kiss, Purple Rain, When Doves Cry, Lets Go Crazy), hardcore fan favorites (D.M.S.R, I Wanna Be Your Lover, Controversy, Housequake) and a tasty musical sampling of Morris Day and The Time, Sheila E, and a slew of other Prince collaborations, this band IS The Minneapolis Sound transported.

The spirit of Prince is alive and well and its name is The Funk Frequency. R U ready 2 party like it's 1999? O(+>
