AfroChic – the annual community celebration of Afro-Canadian music, visual art, fashion and culture returns with a two-day celebration on July 14th and 15th this year in Toronto.

This year, AfroChic is excited to announce headliner, singer, rapper, DJ and activist, DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown aka Ms. Erykah Badu whose trailblazing career spans decades. Badu will join a line-up of Toronto artists, Shi Wisdom, 11:11, Jayd Ink and more! In addition, there will be an art exhibit featuring local Toronto and international black artists, aerial dancers, and a healing lounge presented by our partner, AURORA.

Day one of the festival will take place on Saturday July 14th at 6pm at luxe Toronto venue, the Carlu, 444 Yonge St. Day two of the festival will take place on Sunday July 15th featuring a live, intimate Q&A with Ms. Erykah Badu and special guests at the Globe and Mail Centre, 351 King Street East.

“Our team is beyond ecstatic to approach this milestone year coming up on our 8th exhibit which is now a festival. We are excited to present the top talent in art, music and culture that this great city has to offer.
