‘Tis the season. As a staple in our DJ Skate Nights series, Bryan Brock, Dean of the Academy of Creative Art for the REMIX project, and Much Music’s Rapcity host, T-Rexxx, are bringing their annual 1 LOVE TO holiday skating party back to the Natrel Rink for the fourth year in a row. Joined by their official DJ, DJ DLUX, as well as DJ Lissa Monet, they promise an evening of hot mixes, hot drinks and holiday cheer.
Skaters may remember 2011 Stylus Female DJ Award winner Lissa Monet, who spun last year at our Valentine’s Day themed skating night. Dubbed the go to girl for all things new, innovative and exclusive, you can be sure that she’ll have a few tricks up her sleeve. Things only get crazier when you pair her with seasoned turntable assassin, DMC competitor and resident Blue Jays DJ, DLUX, who has been rocking the rink for 1 LOVE TO for the past three instalments. The duo will be spinning everything from hip-hop, r&b, soul and — of course — Christmas classics.
We have rentals available, but be aware, these guys pack up the rink, so be sure to get here early. So bring the whole clan down and kick off your holiday season in style. Bonus points if you wear a santa hat.
