Snaggle celebrates the release of their second studio album and their first under the Browntasauras record label, THE LONG SLOG. Come see this powerhouse ensemble perform with their fearless producer, internationally acclaimed jaz trumpet iconoclast, Brownman Ali!

Here's whats been said about THE LONG SLOG

"A very personal and compelling musical statement bursting with wide-ranging influences tied together by a sense of unified purpose, chock-full of hidden treasures and layers to be uncovered through repeated listening."
- David Restivo, jazz piano icon

"So now my main man Brownman has opened the doors of his label Browntasaurus Records to local artists he's been associated with in Toronto and other locales, and the first label release from young pianist Nick Maclean's 6-man electric-jazz group SNAGGLE is most impressive! The music on Long Slog is very, very challenging, yet groovy, soulful & exploratory at the same time. Brown himself guests on 2 tunes and fits in with flying colors -- no easy task given how difficult some of this music is! Extremely well performed, written and executed you Snagglers, with high-end production from Brown in the producer's chair. Very impressive work. Reminds me of a band I used to play in! Really well done guys."
- Randy Brecker, multi-Grammy winning trumpet legend / Brownman's mentor

Brownman + 1 featuring Brownman Ali and Adrean Farrugia Live @ Musideum, Toronto, ON - Sun Mar 30th!

Donald Quan's Musideum presents:
BROWNMAN + 1 feat. Brownman Ali (tpt) + Adrean Farrugia (pno)
Sun-Mar-30, 8pm, $15 door, $10 students, artists
@ Musideum, 401 Richmond St. W., Toronto, ON
416-599-7323 www.Musideum.com

Multi-award-winning jazz trumpet player Brownman Ali, best known for his creatively bombastic & energized playing style, strips down to a bare bones configuration in this new Musideum "+1" series. Sunday's intimate duet show will feature with the Juno-nominated piano veteran ADREAN FARRUGIA. Brown has had a long friendship and musical association with Farrugia, both representing the top-shelf jazz improvisers in the city, both sharing uncanny time-feel sensibilities. Farrugia best expresses this shared rhythmic concept as, "we seem to practice with the same metronome!". This pairing of Ali & Farrugia is a remarkable example of modern jazz interactivity and connectivity at it's finest.

The BROWNMAN+1 series continues throughout the year at Musideum, each month Brown appearing with 1 other mystery musician -- could be piano, could be bass, could even turntables - who knows! Each duet showcasing Brownman's lesser known introspective & self-reflective playing approach accompanied by a mystery +1 each month.
