‘Joy’...in the Morning comes to Toronto “Your brightest light is yet to shine”
Exclusive Entertainment Events is proud to present ‘Joy’...in the Morning a Play by Stage and Screen actress Robin Givens on October 27th and 28th at The Queen Elizabeth Theater.
Robin Givens steps into what many may see as a new role, as writer and director: though, ‘Joy in the Morning’ is a Play with Music that has been in development for more than a decade. Written initially as a ‘Spiritual Memoir’, in 1998 Robin called on friends of hers’ Yolanda Adams, Johnny Gill and James Avery to bring this deeply stirring and profoundly thought provoking piece to life...they performed it as a Stage Reading with Music in New York at Carnegie Hall.
This production has come a long way and traveled far to become the powerful play that it is today...from America to Bermuda and back. Each step of the way it has evolved in character and become enriched with talent. “Exclusive Entertainment feels honored to bring ‘Joy in the Morning’ to Toronto, where it will feature some of our hometown’s most notable talent--such as Divine Brown” says George Fynn, CEO of Exclusive Entertainment.
