Skaface with The Harmonauts @ Hugh's Room, Toronto, ON - Fri Jul 26th!

Skaface  are a Toronto band, formed in 1988.
They have a unique sound combining ska with many different genres of music including reggae, rock, punk and jazz.  They have been described as ‘energetic, fun and a feel good group.’

The band is comprised of Lynne Scott on vocals, Greg Howley on guitar/vocals, Steve Roberts on bass guitar, Paul Stewart on rhythm guitar, Ralph Pastore on keys and Ed Troscianczuk on drums.
Skaface have three albums to their credit, and were included on many North American and European compilations including Universal Music’s “Ska Trax/The Next Generation.”
They are currently in the studio, working on their fourth release.

Over the years, the band has been involved in a number of music festivals, including North By Northeast, First Night Toronto, Molson Park , Canada’s Wonderland and the Kumbaya Festival in Toronto.





The Harmonauts is consisted of 4 musicians based out of Toronto, Canada:
Ryan Chopik – organ, vocals
James Keddie – guitar, vocals
Sven Iwaskow – bass, vocals
Andrie Rudyrianto – drums, vocals

Former members of different bands in Toronto local Ska Scene (Street Corner Skandal, The Good Rats Radio, Big Man Himself). United and Inspired by the power of 60′s BOSS Ska, Soul and Reggae. We try to create new sounds, melodies and harmony under the discipline of original Rudeboy Riddim.
In the end, our purpose is to make good music, entertain the soul and move your body in the sweet reggae music vibration.

They have toured extensively throughout Canada and New York State, including dates with popular 70s two-tone groups Bad Manners, and The Selecter. They were also honoured to have old school great Laurel Aitken on stage with them earlier in their career and played with Toots and the Maytals at the Canadian National Exhibition.
