BLMTO Freedom School is a program for children age 4-10. The purpose of the project is to respond to a lack of humanizing, self-affirming, educational opportunities for Black children in the GTA. The program is designed to teach children about global histories of Black/Afrikan resistance, to engage children in political resistance to state violence through a trans-feminist lens, and to offer children an entry point into the #BlackLivesMatter movement. #BlackLivesMatter Freedom School is designed to support children and families living and growing in a reality of witnessing police violence in our communities. It is has been envisioned through both parent and youth visioning.

Location:  A Different Booklist, 746 Bathurst Street, Toronto, ON
