Reimagine Winter
The Bentway Skate Trail opens on January 6th.
On January 6, 2018 at 11am come celebrate the opening of The Bentway Skate Trail and our first ever Winter Season!
Get out of hibernation and reimagine winter with a full weekend of FREE fun activities and events, including musical performances from Charmie Deller, Carmen Braden, demonstrations of Ice Breaking a unique hybrid of breakdancing and freestyle ice skating by the Toronto Ice Skate Group, DJ sets from Skratch Bastid and Nino Brown, food and drink, pop-up curling, our inaugural public art exhibition “Constructions of the Everyday,” and more.
On Sunday, January 7, 2018 The Bentway will host the Mayor’s Skate Party from 1-4pm. Complimentary skate rentals and hot chocolate will be available during the fun, family event.

Winter Season runs from January 6 to mid-March (weather permitting).
Location: The Bentway Skate Trail is located under the Gardiner Expressway right beside the Fort York Visitor Centre (250 Fort York Blvd.) between Strachan Ave. and Bathurst St.
It is 220m and stretches from just east of the Visitor Centre to Bastion St.

Monday-Thursday: 11am-9pm
Fridays and Saturdays: 11am-11pm
Sundays: 11am-9pm
SKATE RENTALS
Monday-Friday: 4pm-9pm
Saturdays: 11am-11pm
Sundays: 11am-9pm

Born in Haiti, Charmie began exploring her gift for singing at the young age of nine. As a self taught musician, she excels at playing guitar, piano, bass, and drums. Her contemporary style of music is a unique fusion of Rhythm & Blues and Pop Soul. Known for connecting with her audiences, Charmie's words go straight from her heart to yours.

The Cavalcade of Lights at Nathan Phillips Square is an annual holiday tradition featuring the lighting of Toronto’s official Christmas Tree, live musical performances, a spectacular fireworks show and skating parties on the iconic outdoor rink. All free!
