Hi everyone, DECADES anniversary for the Ebony Sound Crew was originally planned to celebrate the several Decades that Eddie & Quincy have been doing this music thing.
But our goal and mission has changed since Hurricane Maria slammed into Dominica my parents birth place and home land.
As you all already know Category 5 Hurricane Maria swept through not long ago causing widespread devastation. Destroying 85% of homes and destroying 100% of the island’s resources. The islands main hospitals are in ruins, schools are destroyed and Senior citizens and the most vulnerable are without medication and proper supplies.
Dominica will need much more to restore itself and thrive again, and we are in desperate need your help.
Immediate Needs:
Tarps 16 x 24 or larger – Most urgent need
Toiletries
Toothpaste/toothbrushes
Flashlights/Batteries
Diapers: Children and Adult
Sanitary Pads
New Bath Towels and Wash Rags
New Baby Clothes/Baby bottles
Dried/canned milk
So DECADES will now have a fundraising component as well, we will have a van on site at the DECADES celebration where guests and friends can drop off any of the above mentioned items,plus at DECADES we will be doing raffles that night with all of the raffle proceeds and more going to the Dominica recovery fund.
