Dub City #2 went down in April at Izakaya's back room. A wicked session it was, in this new venue for us. They were up for the challenge and have graciously opened their arms for another round of Dub Connection Soundsystem.

We're back to string up our boxes and do our thing. TO's dub soundsystem in the heart of the city. Raw power and vibes all night. Roots reggae, digital and dub from JA to UK and all points near and far. We'll feature the latest releases, dubplates, and foundation rockers. Sounds to make you jump. Sounds from the underground. Dub Connection Soundsystem returns for another heavyweight session! Round 3 @ Lee's Palace!!

Unleashing the full rig once again for another bass heavy workout!

Joining us this month…
The hometown heavyweight reggae & dub producer Dubmatix! Boasting tunes from some of reggae’s greats including the legendary Alton Ellis, Michael Rose, Gregory Isaacs, and Horace Andy. He’s also shined the light on some of T.O.’s best talents including Kulcha Ites, Ammoye, and Treson. He’s just dropped his latest work, a full 12 track album entitled Rebel Massive released on the German Echo Beach label. Also, the dancehall ingnitor…owner and operator of Big Toe’s Hifi, the one and only Choppa Chop! It's time for a Dub Connection Soundsystem summer session. At the last dance on April 12th, Lee's Palace was filled with basslines they had never felt before. It's time for another one. We roll out the full soundsystem again with all 6 bass bins, delivering the crisp and heavy low end to make the dance jump!

Joining us is Ras Demo aka Demolition Man. This man was born in the soundsystem scene in the UK, tearing up dancehalls on the jungle, dancehall, and reggae scene alike. Also joining us is special guest selector Moss Man, veteran of Montreal's scene. With a wealth of reggae knowledge and a record collection to match, Moss Man has been involved in everything from dub production, selection, and co-creation of the documentary Rocksteady: The Roots of Reggae. Dub Connection Soundsystem @ Lee's Palace , Toronto, ON - Fri Apr 12th!

After building this system last fall, we launched it in December. The crowd rocked to the sweet and heavy sounds from the first to the very last tune. Dundas west and surrounding areas felt the rumblings of a great musical force. We are now ready to play the second dance, and have decided to bring it to a bigger arena. One that could really let the system do it's thing. Some 50 years of soundsystem tradition which began in Kingston, Jamaica continues on Friday, April 12th at Lee's Palace. We'll be unleashing the full soundsystem at this dance, with two additional bass bins. Dub Connection Soundsystem! Do not miss this critical session!
