Trinidad is the birth place of carnival which, along with Guyanese culture, helped inspire Toronto's Caribana Festival in the first place. The cultures, food and music (steel pan & chutney soca music) of Trinidad and Guyana continue to have influence on the modern day Caribana festival and the 2013 Chutney in De Park has the distinction of celebrating and sharing these two cultures with Canadian families
