With a burning hot debut album just released, R&B Artist, Dru, held a private CD release party on October 5th for a group of friends at a swanky suite inside the Sutton Place Hotel, located in downtown Toronto, ON.
Dru's debut CD titled, The One, is a rich blend of smooth, infectious R&B grooves. Singles, "The One," "Seasons" and "Stay With Me (Always)" have already made their way onto radio stations with videos in rotation on channels across the nation.
Formerly of the award-winning R&B group, In Essence, Dru tasted success a few years ago achieving Canadian and stateside popularity with their 2003 debut album, The Master Plan. In 2004, it went on to win a Juno award for Best R&B/Soul Recording of the Year and a Much Music Video Award for Best R&B Video for the single "Friend of Mine."
Toronto-based Dru, (Andrew Grange) has now emerged on to his own path as a bonafide solo artist and writer, co-writing all of the songs on the album. By the sounds of his soulful and edgy debut solo effort, he could certainly be "The One" to breakout as one of Canada's premier R&B Artists.
