Soul Kitchen is an embodiment of the music of the great R&B and Soul artists who pioneered the music, and a continuance of their path. It’s focus is to present an outlet for the often under-appreciated genre of Soul music, as represented in its varied forms including but not limited to R&B (rhythm and blues), new jack (late 80’s, early 90’s R&B), the Motown era, Neo (current) as well as hybrid relatives such as hip hop soul and vocal house. From Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye to current stars such as Alicia Keys and Ne-Yo, all music from the soul has a home in the Kitchen.
