The Cavalcade of Lights at Nathan Phillips Square is an annual holiday tradition featuring the lighting of Toronto’s official Christmas Tree, live musical performances, a spectacular fireworks show and skating parties on the iconic outdoor rink. All free!

Celebrate the 50th annual Cavalcade of Lights presented by Great Gulf on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Nathan Phillips Square.

This holiday tradition features the first illumination of Toronto’s Official Christmas Tree, spectacular fireworks, a skating party, and performances by some of Canada’s top musical talent.

Skating at Nathan Phillips Square ice rink continues all season long. Skate rentals are available on-site.

Calvacade of Lights Featuring Kellylee Evans, Maestro Fresh Wes, Shad and Kardinal Offishall @ Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto, ON - Sat Nov 29th!

Join the official kick off to the holidays in Toronto at Cavalcade of Lights presented by Great Gulf on November 29, 2014.

The evening festivities begin at 7 pm and include:

- The illumination of Toronto’s official Christmas tree
- Performances by Juno Award-winners Kellylee Evans, Maestro Fresh Wes and Kardinal Offishall
- Spectacular fireworks display sponsored by TekSavvy
- DJ skating party at Nathan Phillips Square

Calvacade of Lights w/Suzie McNeil, Sean Jones, Alyssa Reid, Dragonete & More @ Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto, ON - Sat Nov 17th!

The 46th annual Cavalcade of Lights kicks off the holiday season at Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday, November 17 at 7 p.m. Great Gulf joins the celebration as the new presenting sponsor of the event and of Toronto's magnificent official Christmas tree.

The evening begins at 7 pm with live musical performances by pop/rock vocalist Suzie McNeil, R&B artist Sean Jones and rising star Alyssa Reid and the first lighting of the Cavalcade of Lights display, followed by a breathtaking fireworks display at 8 p.m.

The celebration continues from 8:15 – 10:30 pm with the Sno-Ball sponsored by Timothy's World Coffee® featuring a concert by international recording artists Dragonette, a fiery pyrotechnic performance by Circus Orange and an open-air DJ dance party with JJ Rock under the glow of thousands of twinkling lights.

Throughout the celebration, the public can visit the 100th Grey Cup Festival tent to have their photo taken with the Grey Cup.

To accommodate Cavalcade of Lights and Grey Cup Festival activities, the Nathan Phillips Square ice rink will open for skating December 1, 2012 (weather permitting).
