From Leaders to Legends @ Milliken Mills High School, Unionville, ON - Sat Feb 22nd!

Markham African Caribbean Canadian Association (MACCA) presents modern-day Living Legends in our FREE From Leader to Legends event.

Collaborating with MACCA to provide the public with a free Caribbean lunch, entertainment, and inspiring dialogue are: Canadian God-Father of Hip Hop Maestro Fresh Wes (a.k.a. Wes Williams), Honourable Michael Coteau Minister of Immigration and Citizenship, York Regional Police - Deputy Chief Andre Crawford, Director of Health and Social Issues Winston Miller, Community Leader Dwayne Dixon, Artist/Entertainer a.k.a. Subliminal, and Superintendent of York Region District School Board Cecil Roach.

This day will include an action packed program boasting entertainment from dance crew Bucc N Flvr’, a performance by the God-Father himself Maestro Fresh Wes, an inspiring keynote address from Mr. Wes Williams, singing performances by child stars 14-year-old Shay Lee and 9-year-old Azana Aman-Hyman, and an engaging panel discussion with those who are entrusted with the exciting challenge of leading our great community.

Students are encouraged to get involved by entering the So You Think You Can Invent contest. If you are in grades 1 to 12 all you have to do is email maca1987@rogers.com with your Invention Idea and you could win cool prizes and the title Inventor of the Year.

Location:  Milliken Mills High School, 7522 Kennedy Road, Unionville, ON

Time: 11 am to 3 pm. Maestro’s address will be at 12 pm and the panel discussion will follow at 1 pm.
