Brownman Electric Trio Live @ The Boathouse, Toronto, ON - Thurs Feb 18th!

Iconic Trinidadian-born, NYC-schooled, Toronto-based jazz trumpet player Brownman Ali, brings his multi-award-winning BROWNMAN ELECTRYC TRIO to the Boathouse for the kickoff concert of the 2016 Winter Jazz Festival! This show, in addition to exploring their latest 5-star recording "Gravitation", will also feature a heavy emphasis on Miles Davis' electric period, from '69 through the '80's. New York's Village Voice heralds Brownman as "Canada's preeminent jazz trumpet player", and he's been the choice trumpet player in recent years for artists such as Paul Simon, Jay-z, Quincy Jones and Guru's Jazzmatazz. We can not think of a better way to launch the 2016 Winter Jazz Festival (Welcome to the Vortex).

Tickets are $20 (a steal to see these international touring artists). Available at the Boathouse and Encore Records on King Street East in downtown Kitchener.
