Peeks Toronto Caribbean Carnival presents Junior Carnival & Family Day @ Neilson Patk, Scarborough, ON - Sat Jul 22nd!

This year’s Junior Carnival Parade & Family Day will once again be held in the Malvern community, Scarborough on July 22 from11 am – 8 pm. The popular event for children and families gives young masqueraders a chance to show off their very own costumes and performances, in the Junior Carnival Parade.

Come out and see the future of Carnival. Join the young producers, performers, and presenters as they put their imprint on the Festival. The Junior Carnival and Family Day event lets you and everyone in the surrounding community of Malvern enjoy the cultural highlights. Toronto Mas Bands Association, Organization of Calypso Performing Artists, and the Ontario Steelpan Association are key participants. As well, check out the always popular Junior Chef Competition. Junior Carnival and Family Day @ Downsview Park, Toronto, ON - Sat Jul 21st!

This event provides families and the surrounding community the opportunity to experience the thrills and joys as young masqueraders participate in their earlier festival years. These young revelers parade before the judges along the parade route in Downsview Park. Following the parade is a family day of celebration of Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago 50th anniversary. Supported by the Children’s Breakfast Club (the designated charity) and the Metropolitan Toronto Police Service.

Junior Carnival Parade @ Yorkgate Mall, Toronto, ON - Sat Jul 16th!

The kid’s version of the Marquee parade attracting over 30,000 spectator visitors comprising families and featuring 2,000 mini masqueraders, some as young as two years taking place in one the city’s priority neighbourhood with partners such as 31 Division of the Metropolitan Police and Yorkgate Plaza. The three kilometre parade ends at the Yorkgate Plaza - Jane Finch.

Junior Carnival @ Yorkgate Mall, North York, ON - Sat Jul 17th!

Junior Carnival is an annual parade that gives children the opportunity to celebrate Caribbean culture and share it with their community. Young masqueraders dance through the streets in their brightly coloured costumes. This parade, similar to the Caribana Parade is made up of a series of Band Leaders displaying costumes in competition. The band sections are made up of only children who are beginning to participate in Caribana Festival traditions.
