Téa Mutonji: Shut Up You're Pretty @ Parkdale Library, Toronto, ON - Thurs Oct 3rd!

Téa Mutonji is an award-winning poet and writer. She appears to discuss her debut collection, Shut Up You're Pretty, a narrative meditation about adolescence, sexuality and belonging.

Told in a series of 18 strikingly raw vignettes, Shut Up You're Pretty is a collection of linked stories that follow Loli as she makes her way through the world. Tinged with pathos and humour, these stories interrogate the moments in which femininity, womanness, and identity are not only questioned but also imposed.

Hear Téa Mutonji in conversation with Toronto writer Rachna Raj Kaur.

This event is free, and no registration is needed to attend.

Location: Parkdale Library, 1303 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON

Time: 7p - 8

Fortunately, the weather forecast on Sunday Sept. 22nd is looking good - so we're doing one final party to close off the summer and Season 10 of Hot Stepper Sundays!
We invite you to lounge, dance, chow down, sip cocktails and party with us in the open air of one of the best patios in the city! Mark that calendar and tell 10 friends :)
