THE ROOTS LOUNGE THIS SUNDAY
This season of the Roots Lounge is presented in community partnership with the Kapisanan Philippine Centre for Arts & Culture.
Join us this Sunday, February 21st, for round TWO in our 12th season.
All poets are welcome to sign up for either the open mic or poetry slam, as we start qualifications to represent Toronto at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in Ottawa this fall. If you sing, bring your music on cd, and come do your thing!
Doors Open at 7pm, the show starts at 8pm, and the Kapisanan Centre is located at 167 Augusta Avenue in Kensington Market.
The show is Hosted by Lorraine Reid, with the musical backdrop set by DJ Manifest. Admission is only $5.
