Colours of Pain @ West Toronto Church of God, North York, ON - Sat June 1st!

Colours of Pain forecasts the life of an urban town girl mentally driven by pain, anger, hurt, and depression. This setting staged in the home of a normal Canadian will bring to light the facts. How far can disappointment, bitterness and betrayal drive someone? While Rose plays the protagonist dealing with her own reality, Luke portrays a character that suffers the bitter end of her miserable life. Appears to be humble, abused, kind hearted and goes beyond the call of duty to make their life worth living. Is he for real or is he living a fairy-tale?

Location: West Toronto Church of God, 1655 Wilson Avenue, North York, ON

Time:  7p - 12a

Tickets: $30 adv / $35 at door

Shebada has crafted a thriving career in the last decade, appearing in over twenty memorable productions; due to his popularity, his climb in the theater world seems endless.

Hilarious, witty, uniquely funny, easily captivating, effortlessly comical, this gifted young actor never stops entertaining his hungry audience.

Keith Shebada Ramsey is eloquently outspoken, with a human touch of shyness.

If you happen to miss him on stage, you can always join him live as he entertains from the heart in his very popular and lovable "Happy Corner " on YouTube.

Garfield Reid, (famously known as "Bad Boy Trevor " or "Movie star") on screen and onstage.

Aside from being a prolific playwright, Reid's magnetic performances have left behind footprints of a well established and respectable trail of an accomplished actor for many to follow; and he continues to lay the path.

A character actor, Reid's portrayal keep audiences at the edge of their seats in suspense and laughter. The latter of which he unfrequently plays for.

The World Premiere of Other Side of the Game @ Aki Studio, Daniels Spectrum, Toronto, ON - Sat Oct 14th! Runs until Sun Nov 5th!

Cahoots Theatre and Obsidian Theatre Company present
The World Premiere of

OTHER SIDE OF THE GAME
Written by Amanda Parris • Directed by Nigel Shawn Williams
Aki Studio • October 14 – November 5, 2017

Set before the rise of Black Lives Matter, OTHER SIDE OF THE GAME is a time-spanning work that tells the story of silenced Black women who organize communities, protect loved ones, battle institutions, and live each day by a ride-or-die philosophy. This first-time partnership between Cahoots and Obsidian also marks the professional playwriting debut for Amanda Parris.

Inspired by interviews conducted with individuals in Toronto and Halifax, OTHER SIDE OF THE GAME gives voice to Black women who support their men, their families and communities, even in the face of dire consequences. Set in Toronto, straddling modern day and the 1970s Black civil rights movement, the play is evocative and lyrical in its presentation of a population under siege.

A meeting place between the urgent activism of the 1970s and today’s unapologetic Hip Hop generation, OTHER SIDE OF THE GAME is a deft illumination of resilience and struggle amidst the simmering tensions in Black and other marginalized communities.

Border Patrol - The Big Play with Pretty Delcita! @ Various Locations, ON - Fri Oct 9th - Sun Oct 11th!

The show is headlined by Jamaica’s two leading, veteran theatre personalities, Christopher Mcfarlane and Andrea ‘Delcita’ Wright. Andrea ‘Delcita’ Wright has now shelved the ugly dark make up and rotten teeth. Her fans are loving the new look - You will too! The show has more twists than Fern Gully and you will love it!

Border Patrol reviews the church wives. Church wives who quote scriptures to defend their activities or lack thereof in the private room. Are marriages compromised when respective partners go overseas on work permit? Also, see Andrea ‘Delcita’ Wright, decked out in her security outfit as Corporal Del. Maaaad things!
